D.I.N._SL is a series of four USB-C connected modules inspired by the DIN rails commonly used in industrial control systems. The nightlight emerged after the failure of the Y-Delta starter in the artist’s BF-631 machine, leading to late-night deep dives into industrial electronics, automation systems, and repair with advice from Claude.ai. Reimagined for a domestic setting, the modules soften and simplify industrial hardware into a bedside utility system that combines dimmable light and white noise, translating the logic of the workshop into something quiet, calming, and lived with.
